Delicious Peas Paratha Recipe with the wholesome goodness of Butterfly Atta Mark1!
Ingredients
Dough
- 2 cups Butterfly Atta Mark1
- Water, as needed
- Salt
- 1 tablespoon oil
Peas Filling
- 1 cup fresh green peas
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1-2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds & garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin and coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tablespoon oil or ghee
Instructions
Peas Filling
Step 1
Boil fresh green peas in water for a couple of minutes & drain
Step 2
Heat oil in a pan & add cumin seeds. Let them sizzle
Step 3
Add chopped onions & green chilies. Sauté till translucent
Step 4
Add peas & sauté for a few minutes until cooked and tender
Step 5
Add garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, & salt
Step 6
Mix well & cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat & let it cool
Paratha
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, combine the Butterfly Atta Mark1, salt, & oil
Step 2
Add water & knead the dough until it’s smooth, soft & elastic
Step 3
Let it rest for about 15-20 minutes, covered with a damp cloth
Assembling the Parathas
Step 1
Divide dough into equal-sized portions & roll them into balls
Step 2
Take one dough ball & roll it into a small circle (about 4 inches) using a rolling pin
Step 3
Place a spoonful of the peas filling in the center of the circle
Step 4
Gather the edges of the dough & seal the filling inside to form a ball again
Step 5
Gently flatten the stuffed ball with your palms
Step 6
Roll into a paratha (careful not to let the filling spill out)
Step 7
Roll to your desired thickness
Cooking the Parathas
Step 1
Heat a griddle or a flat pan over medium-high heat
Step 2
Place the rolled paratha on the hot griddle & cook until you see small bubbles forming
Step 3
Flip the paratha & spread some oil or ghee on the top
Step 4
Cook until both sides are golden brown & crispy. Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls
